Day Z Tips and Tricks

The game Day Z is a realistic zombie survival game and I have some tips and tricks for you.

First of all, never shoot unprovoked, for all you know firing first could be your death sentence. However this rule does not apply to bandits.

The next tip is don’t shoot if you don’t have to! Ammo is scarce and should be used wisely.

Also, zombies run, so be careful. They can run faster than you and are very deadly at close range.

It is also wise to stay out of the open and stay in places where you can take cover easily to avoid bandit snipers.

Last of all, trust no one. People will sometimes try to kill you after tricking you into thinking they are your friends. My friend came up with a simple way to avoid getting tricked: “If you don’t know them, don’t trust them.”

Where I Am from Poem

I am from books,
From iPads and aPhones.
I’m fromm hard stones floors and fuzzy cat hair.
I’m from the grass swishing in the wind.
I’m from the oak tree that I used to play on in my childhood,
I’m from Thanksgiving and Christmas,
I’m from my Grandmother and Grandfather.
I’m from TV dinners and board games and sleeping late on the weekends.
I’m from stories and jokes and Hush little Baby.
I’m from hiking in the woods by streams,
I’m from Texas and Wales.
I’m from mashed potatoes and sausages and from canoe trips where snakes lurk in the trees.
From Black eyes and Baby pictures of me on my dad’s shoulders.

A Far Cry from a Relaxing Vacation

Imagine that you have just landed on an island paradise called Rook Island. You and your friends decide to go skydiving soon after sailing into port. The next day you are given a ride to the skydiving center by a local hunter named Vaas.

After you arrive at you destination, you are ambushed by pirates and knocked out. When you wake up, you find out Vaas is actually running the largest slave trading system in the Pacific.

You are about to be loaded into a truck to be taken to be sold by pirates, but you escape into the jungle with a machete! The only question is what do you do now: save your friends or escape the island?
(Far Cry 3 is a real game where this actually happens. It’s rated M thought so don’t buy it without permission.)

Jason Brody the main character

Riddick

Riddick is the main character from a movie series that I think everyone should watch. Riddick is a space age criminal who can see in the dark because of a shine job (a procedure that replaces your eyes with those of a weird alien dog, allowing you to see in the dark).

Riddick is from the planet Furya. As a child, his home was attacked by Necromunger troops who killed almost all of the children on Furya to prevent a prophesied “Riddick” from destroying their ruler, the Lord Marshal. They mistakenly left the infant Riddick alive because they overlooked him, and Riddick became a criminal produced by a broken home world.

Drink More Ovaltine

When my grandfather was young he loved Ovaltine, a chocolate energy drink.

The Ovaltine company would make Ovaltine Decoder rings that you could buy with the drinks and Grandpa saved up money to buy one. When he finally saved up enough money to buy one of the rings and decoded the message guess what it said? It said “Drink more Ovaltine!”

Grandpa was so angry that he hasn’t forgiven Ovaltine to this day.

Fallout

I have been playing the game Fallout 3 for a while and it made me wonder what people would do in a real nuclear apocalypse. Imagine that you have just stepped out of a bunker ten years after the bombs fell. Think of all the things you would want to have before you set out into the wasteland. Leave a list of things you would want in the comments.

I would want:

military grade backpack
assault rifle with an a cog scope
kevlar vest
food
water and water purifier
pistol
rad removal
a gas mask
all terrain vehicle (ATV)
