The Ovaltine company would make Ovaltine Decoder rings that you could buy with the drinks and Grandpa saved up money to buy one. When he finally saved up enough money to buy one of the rings and decoded the message guess what it said? It said “Drink more Ovaltine!”
Grandpa was so angry that he hasn’t forgiven Ovaltine to this day.
Yes, indeed. Drink more Ovaltine. Gampy learned at an early age to not trust all of the advertisements. I suppose we should keep that in mind when we hear or read ads that sound so promising. Likely to be a catch somewhere. Stay alert.
